Problem: When Dinwiddie built a new high school, the county wanted a sophisticated camera system to ensure the safety and security of students, faculty and staff. The system would have to monitor the school itself, as well as adjacent grounds and facilities. The high school’s surveillance system, installed by Pelco, needed to be linked into the county’s PSAP, despite the fact that they were from different vendors.

Solution: The high school’s surveillance system consists of 97 fixed cameras that is fed directly into the PSAP and is fully integrated with TrueSentry. Since the feed goes directly into the PSAP, officers can identify and respond to events quickly.
