| Jail Security Systems Integrated into Checkpoint Monitoring |
|
Problem: The Dinwiddie County Jail’s surveillance system did not allow the guards to see past a cell’s bars at night. For the safety of both the inmates and the guards, the jail needed to install a system that could see into the cells all the way to the back wall, providing constant monitoring of the facility. The jail also needed to improve security to ensure that contraband was not being smuggled to the inmates. Solution: The jail upgraded its surveillance system to TrueSentry. It includes the addition of video analytics, which allows officers to monitor the facility more efficiently and respond to incidents more quickly. Analytics-enabled cameras serve as a barrier to illicit transactions and at the same time gives guards a better view into the jail.
